32. Summary

.... Jesus Christ is the salvation of God; we are saved in Him, and we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling by becoming more like Him. This is done through the knowledge of Him, in conjunction with our obedience in following Him. Thus, the object of our faith is to be found in Him on the day He returns to the earth: and so we may be said to have endured to the end:

.... " . . . that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is from the law, but that which is from faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, If, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already attained or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you."

(Phil 3:8-15)

.... On the day of Jesus Christ, when our salvation is consummated in Him, God alone will be exalted. He will be glorified in His Son Jesus, and His Son will be glorified through us as we are conformed to His image. Any good thing in us will owe itself to Him on that day, and so He shall be glorified in us:

.... "For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen."

(Romans 11:36)
